Walker Crips Investment Management was proud to sponsor the York Open Fencing Competition, held at the historic Railway Institute building in York on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th March 2025.
The two-day event, organised by Harrogate Fencing Club, saw over 200 attendees come together to compete across three disciplines: Épée, Foil, and Sabre. The competition brought fencers from across the UK to test their skills, showcase their talent and enjoy the camaraderie that makes the sport so special.
Investment managers from our York office, Alan Kinnaird and Ben Potter, were delighted to attend and welcome participants.
Alan commented:
"It's fantastic to see the York Open Fencing Competition back on the competitive circuit. The skill and sportsmanship on display were outstanding, and the sense of community among competitors was truly inspiring. Our thanks go to all the organisers and volunteers from across the UK for making us feel so welcome."
Walker Crips is committed to supporting local events that bring people together, and we look forward to seeing the continued success of the York Open in the years to come.
